Math Club was offered to gifted and talented (GT) students interested in competing in a national contest for their Advanced Learning Plan goal. Students received challenging problems and the opportunity to participate in the National Noetic Learning Math Competition. Approximately 26,000 students from 533 different schools and 43 different states participated last November. Only four of the 3,651 sixth graders who competed got 100% correct. It is a very challenging test! Four of our Deer Creek students received Honorable Mention ribbons. We plan to open this competition to interested students in all grades this spring.
