End-of-Year Medication Pick-up

If your student has medication in the school clinic, district policy requires a parent/guardian to pick up unused or discontinued medication at the end of each school year.

The parent/guardian must collect their student’s unused medication on or before the last day of school - May 24, 2018. This includes all prescription and over-the-counter medications including cough drops, cough syrup, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, EpiPen, inhaler, and any injectable medications.

All medication that is left in the school clinic will be disposed of after the last day of school. This is an additional expense for a specialized disposal process that meets EPA requirements.

Please contact our clinic aide, Kathy Boyea, to arrange for collection of your student’s medications.

If you, as the parent, are not able to come in to the school’s health room and pick-up the medication, please call your district RN to set up a special arrangement.

If you have any questions feel free to call your district RN, Lisa Schalla at 720-315-3855.

Medication at School

Advil/Tylenol will not be provided by the school. Students may carry one dose of Advil/Tylenol provided a parent/guardian has notified the Health Aide. Advil/Tylenol must be in an original container. If your child needs Advil/Tylenol frequently, a Medication Agreement Form must be on file in the clinic. Please note that a doctor’s signature is required on the Medication Agreement Form, even for over-the-counter medications. If you have any questions, please contact our clinic aide at 303-982-3820.
